The Whistler

My Little Chick has finally gotten the hang of whistling and it is driving big sis crazy. Isn't it hard when one of your kids know how to do something and the other doesn't?? So for the last several days all I hear is blowing...and spitting...and sputtering, practicing relentlessly to learn this new skill.

And it cracks her up that she can and Big Chick can't. So what does she do...

She
whistles... NON-STOP!

Have a blessed day.

  2. Smile....Next she'll be learning the trick of whitling with a blade of grass between her two thumbs. It's very loud and shrill - once you get it.

  3. Love it, lovely post...it's a bit like clicking your fingers isn't it, I can remember when my eldest couldn't do that and she practised for ages til she could do it!!

I love whistling....people don't do it enough these days.....it always reminds me of my grandad who would also whistle. I whistle sometimes and my husband always finds it really funny....what's wrong with him??!!

Have a great week Becky :)

  9. Around here it's rolling your r's. Little one can - big one can't! Little one can do it really fast and for a long time - sort of like you hear on Mexican music. Drives the big one nuts!

  10. Oh man, I was the WORST continual whistler as a kid. I drove my family nuts. And I couldn't whistle the regular way... I had to whistle through my teeth. It is the most annoying, breathy, whistle sound out there!
    Too funny.

  13. How TOTALLY funny! My 5 year old is just not getting into it. She's doing the whooooo whoooo sound a lot, but every once in a while out comes a real live whistle. Then she's like, "Mommy, how do I do it???" I don't know what else to tell her except to just keep practicing. It'll happen.

By the way, I had a very hard time learning how to blow bubbles without spitting my whole wad of gum out. Another tricky lesson there.
